RULES OF THE GAME

~PLEASE WEAR YOUR BADGE AT ALL TIMES.~

Please bring your dinner ticket with you, as we will collect them this time.

Smoking

The City of Long Beach prohibits smoking in public areas such as buildings, restaurants, and conference rooms/halls. The Queen Mary will only permit smoking on outdoor public decks, the wharf area, open gangways, and staterooms designated for smoking. For our purposes, smoking will be prohibited in the Queen's Salon, Mauretania Room, Observation Bar, or any other other place as indicated. When in doubt, check with a uniformed Queen Mary crew member.

Photography

Photography, still or moving image, is allowed anywhere on the ship, unless otherwise indicated or posted. You may feel free to photograph or videograph (for private, non-commercial use only) any of our functions with one exception- Due to copyright restrictions, I would ask you not to film any motion picture screening, either on the Queen or at the Avalon Theatre. This also applies to recording devices.

Cell Phones

CELL PHONES- Please place all cellular phones and pagers on vibrate or turn them off during functions. There should be no ringing or usage of cell phones in the Queen's Salon. Please step into hall if you need to use one.

We will film the two shows for future Society use.

Autographs

Celebrity and special guests sign autographs at their own discretion. Please respect their wishes and privacy if they choose not to sign, or to limit number of items. Please do limit autograph requests. This rule also applies to "photos with guests."

Alcohol

All alcoholic beverages are to be consumed and purchased solely through the Queen Mary.

The Observation Bar

After 7:00 pm. the bar is only open to individuals 21 or over.

Recommended Dinner Attire

We are privileged to go back in time and be a part of the glamour of the ship as it would have been in the 1930's. We would like to stay within that spirit and have people live the era. While daytime dress is casual, we will invite you to stay within the spirit of the elegance of the 1920's and 1930's and ask you to follow the dress code enforced by Queen Mary in certain restaurants. We do strongly encourage a semi-formal dress code for the evening shows.

Each evening is themed; Friday is a USO type evening, and Saturday is themed to a 1920's speakeasy! We would certainly encourage people to have fun and dress in vintage attire if they desire! Friday, military uniforms would be a suggestion, and 20's attire would be fun for Saturday.

For anyone dining in the Chelsea or Sir Winston's, coat and tie are required- Queen Mary regulations.

Thanks for your cooperation and for adding to our ambiance!

HAVE FUN WITH IT!
